my name is chelsea.

i am a female bodied & woman identified gender deviant. i believe gender is a social construct. i like to explore and play with gender roles, and try to encourage others to do the same.

my beliefs can best be summed up as a combination of animism, paganism, pantheism, shamanism, taoism, witchcraft and zen - but i try my best to stay open to all spiritual teachings and philosophies.

i am a writer, creator and artist. i primarily write and perform slam poetry, but i refuse to limit myself and like to try my hand at other styles of creating as well. i love incorporating nature into all of my art.

i do a lot of walking. i feel that there are far too many cars in this world, and that the majority of them are unnecessary - they do far more harm than good. i ride a beautiful bicycle, a baby blue norco tourister from the 1970's. her name is betsy. .

i am a vegan for many reasons… one being that i don't feel that i have any right to contribute to the painful and unnecessary deaths of any other living creatures. i can exist happily and healthily without the exploitation of animals.

i am very conscious of what i put into my body. i don't use drugs, drink, or smoke, and i avoid caffeine & refined sugars. i have a homeopathic doctor and avoid pharmaceutical medications as much as i can.

i love traveling to places both near and far, and am hoping to be able to explore more and more of this earth.

i am a lover of body modifications and currently have six piercings and eight tattoos, with many more planned. i've been modeling for many years as an alternative nude model, as well as a hair model and artist's model, but have recently decided to go on hiatus. despite my love of getting naked and encouraging others to do so, as well as the opportunity to show off my body art, i'm appalled by even the “alternative” world of nude modeling. i don't condone elitist, racist, or sexist erotica, and that's pretty much all i've been seeing recently. i'd love to start modeling again with some truly revolutionary folks.

i am non-monogamous by nature, occasionally monogamous by default. i am an extremely ethical slut, a kink, and a brazen queer with no respect for the rules.

i am an environmentalist and believe in reusing, reducing, and recycling. i shop at secondhand stores and try to tread lightly on mother earth. i believe in living simply, so that others may simply live.

i consider myself to be a very political person. i'm a PRO-CHOICE feminist. i align myself with many factions - ecofeminism, pro-sex feminism, anarchafeminism, transfeminism… but what it boils down to is that i believe all genders deserve the same basic rights & respects. i am a proud anarchist. i am against all forms of war.

i am very much inspired by spiders and consider them to be my spirit animal. i'm passionate about arachnology as well as entomology, and have worked in (and plan on furthering my education in) both fields.
